Old brewery sign in Pont-sur-Sambre

This is the old brewery sign of the ancient brewery in Pont-sur-Sambre. I already published photos of it at the beginning of my blog, but here with my new camera you can see it better. I made this photo a few days ago.

Oh! I'd almost forget something : the answer for the question with the round light is this one : it is the clock of the church of Anor by night with a Christmas light all around.

What's 'this? An UFO? The wheel of the bus?

At the morning of the 9 December we had to take the bus to go to Germany to the Christmas Market. The place where we had to take the bus is 40 km far from home, so that I went there with my car. But it was right windy and it was fallen rivers of rain, so that we came to late for the bus. Three minutes to late... We had to take the bus at 6 am and we came at 6:03 am to the place where we had to take the bus and it was no more there!

In cause of the rain and wind, I decided to wait on the sunrise to go home and while waiting in my car I took this photo when looking to the high from the window of my car... What can it be??? (The photo is a little blur.) Do not fear, it is no UFO, it is a real thing. Answer in a next post.

National dish of Anor : the escavèche.

This is a speciality of Anor. This fish is a river fish called escavèche, and we can find it in the waters of the little town Anor, in the South-East of the Avesnois. The fish is prepared with a sauce which much spices and is sold in glases. It is a cold meat. Naturally the "frites" (the potatoes) are a speciality of the whole North Country and of Belgium. You can eat it with salad and tomatoes.

Something blue (2)....

A twice time something blue... This bareer for pedestrians is in Anor in a place where almost no car goes so near to the pedestrian way, but one precaution is better than nothing. And in this corner of the town are almost all "street-pieces of furniture" blue. It is in the space François Mitterand.

François Mitterand in Anor...

In Anor the space François Mitterand is, as I think I said it already a center with several houses like a lodging for short holidays or groups, and two houses for the associations, on the edge of the entrance you can find this monument to the honour of the ancient french Président François Mitterand. His wife came here a few years ago to inaugurate the center. The mayor of Anor is now deputy at the french national assembly.

270. Christmas in Fourmies

In the same room as we were on the photos just before, the polish dance group of Anor, the Wojtek and the children dance group Les Galopiots, made as a part of it of the descendants of polish people who went to work in the factories of the North of France, were helding a stand where they sold some little things to the benefit of the Telethon. I photographed them just after I told tales and sung from the table beforeon I sat where I told tales and sung. You can see also just before my guitar and the tale books.
