The ancient town-hall of Aulnoye-Aymeries...

Here is a graphic picture of the ancient town-hall of Aulnoye-Aymeries. The garden in front of the ancient town hall is completely renoved so that you can see now these "jets d'eau" of water springs. About ten years ago there was a garden in the old way with a small bridge over a small river. I liked it too very much. There is a new town-hall at the side of the new with a modern architecture. But these one can be used for feast purpose. It has a good ancient wedding hall, with a good acoustic. I tried it at a feast of the choir because I sung during a long time in the choir of Aulnoye. At the side of it there is also the ancient feast hall, where I spent many a sunday afternoon or a saturday evening as I was teaching in this town.

A post auto in Aulnoye...

I was making a lot of photos of the centrum of Aulnoye-Aymeries as a post auto was just stopping at the red light so that I get the post auto on my picture. Although my Cool Pix is very small, the post men and women saw it, and was laughing and asking me to send them the picture. Now they can find it on the Internet. They said to me they are from the post of Maubeuge. In the background you can see the water tower of Aulnoye-Aymeries, called the Château d'Eau, a good locate when you are asking somebody where is some place in Aulnoye... "Oh it is near the water tower... then you have to go to right, then to left, then the second way to the left, and so one..."

Before going to sea (3) : The blue angels of TER-MER.

Once again a photo of the day TER-MER taken in the departure station Aulnoye-Aymeries. The blue angels of the days TER-MER are young people who are in holydays or working during the week, which work during two days for the Regional Railway. They have to give information to people how to get their treins and so on, and to control the tickets before the departure. On the arrival station they give also information about the town, the beaches and where to get the bus to go to the beaches. The special busses are given gratis by each big seaside town like Dunkerque, Calais or Boulogne-sur-Mer.

On a sunny day...

A sunny day in the garden. I do not know how this berries came in my garden... But they are beatiful ones. In my garden are growin the plants and bushes I planted but also other wild ones.

Rainy Day at Home...

Rainy Day at home. My wild garden is looking very sad on rainy days. But the green... the green... the green... My wild garden does not fogot we are in a regional natural parc.

Before going to sea (2)

I'm going here also to sea with the railway. Here is a graphic picture of a waiting cabin on the quay of the railway-station of Aulnoye-Aymeries. A good day, because during four (o five?) week-ends during the summer-holiday you are allowed to go to the sea for only one Euro. I think on these days I already ride with the railway all around the region Nord-Pas de Calais, during 500 kilometers on a way which making for example Aulnoye-Aymeries to Valenciennes, Douai, Arras, Channel and the return then Channel, Boulogne, Calais (at the north sea), Lille, Valenciennes and Aulnoye. These days are calles TER-MER days. TER is the name of the regional trains, and Mer means Sea, you have also Journées (Days) TER-VERT where the TER stop in Aulnoye-Aymeries, Maubeuge, Avesnes and so on... the days TER-VERT are to visit the Avesnois for one Euro. The number of places is limited so that people have to take their ticket on the first day of the forteen day period where they are sold.
