39. Early spring trees and column chapell.

Here in the Avesnois these column-chapells which are composed of a column of blue stones, with a hole for a statue are typical for this small region. The trees become not green in spite of the early spring because the winter was very long and cold.

I took this photo near the sluice and bridge of Pont-à-Pont.

37. Main Street of Pont after the Rain.

This pic is taken with the bridge of Pont-sur-Sambre in the back. It's the main street which leads from Aulnoye-Aymeries to Bavay, a town of the Rom Antiquity (like Trier). Here is a roman road which is then very straight, between the other end of Pont unto the North to Bavay. It is the road where is the tower. On the left there is a factory where they produce weapons that can explode. It is the factory S.A.M.P.
