The old tower of Pont-sur-Sambre. Here is the emblem of my town, PONT-SUR-SAMBRE ; it is an old tower of the 17th century. It stays in the middle of the little town of 2 500 inhabitants.

This is a goodlocking tower. What was its use ?

This tower was built in the seventeen century. It is a tower whereon a guardian was on the top of it and was looking at the country all around to see if no ennemy or some robbers where in the surrounding aera. If there were some ennemy or robber in sight, they sounded in a loud music instrument to say that the people had to hide. The church had also thick walls to hide into it.
(I already made an answer to this question on May, 22th, and it got lost of our fault.
