Red berries for birds in the late autumn

All this berries for the birds at the beginning of the winter. So long there is no frozen time, birds don't eat this berries. But when the thermometer is going under O°C, and the ground is frozen, then you see all the birds coming here and eating the berries. Especially the blackbird is fond of them.

Wild Rose berries

The cotoneasters (picture above) are very lovely plants which can make great carpets on the ground of gardens. They have little white-rosa flowers in the spring and some beautiful red berries in autumn and winter, so that they are a good decoration for winter gardens and are appreciated by birds ans are a good food for them in winter. It is not the same berries liks the one I published for a month with are the wild rose berries (also picture below). These ones are not a food for people (perhaps a poison, I don't know exactly, but I should not eat them, we learn as children we have not to eat wild red berries), but only for wild birds.

242. Berries for birds in winter.

Now it is time for the birds to think at their feed for the winter, because in one months there shall be no more much to eat on the earth. These wild rose fruits are the best for them. People especially must think that they les bird beers on the bushes and trees, so that these little creature get to eat in winter in our gardens. I made this photo in Pont-sur-Sambre.
