Street in Fourmies...

Ambiance of early autumn and "indian summer", in the town of Fourmies. The street you can see here goes from the Place Verte to the Main Street, the street St Louis. The trees you see here (grown in the town!) are chestnut trees from the side of the Green Square (Place Verte).

Like a tree in the town

There is a famous french song of Maxime Le Forestier whose title is "Comme un arbre dans la ville". It means "Lile a tree in the town...". This chestnut tree grew on the green place of Fourmies (the market place in front of the townhall) like a tree in the town and is in good health although getting autumn colours.
