French chocolate for Christmas. Pay attention : the pralines with the red papers have cherry alcohol. So do not eat too much if you have to ride a car. I do not drink alcohol, so that I am eating the others. I made the photo at Saturday 22th. We ate the chocolate with my pupils of the Saturday afternoon in the Europa House.

271. Christmas songs in Fourmies

Here my little choir, some of the pupils of the Saturday afternoon, is singing traditional german Christmas songs. Always at the 2th December during the afternoon I was telling Christmas and Santa Claus tales. This time my husband took also the photo whereon I appear, but it went good!

269. Christmas tales in Fourmies (2)

Here you can see me taling tales to the children and the people around, I accompany myself on the guitar, triing to give the atmosphere to the tales, improvising every time the music anew. On the right one of my choir-boys a pupil from the Saturday afternoon. I do not give a course of german this afternoon because there are the holidays. My husband made this photo, with my camera, but it went not very right because he cannot good use this camera in rooms or in the night. Used by his permission (of my husband, occasional photographer).

268. Christmas tales in Fourmies

At the 2nd december I am reading Christmas tales and singing Christmas songs for the children in Fourmies, at the time of the Telethon, an action against a genetic lung desease, called in french "mucoviscidose". The town friendship commitee Fourmies-Bernburg (Germany) made a big work for the decoration of the room (the entrance hall of the theater) making the house of the Santa Claus. The lively Santa Claus (the one you see is not lively) made the voice of Santa Claus in the tales, and I read the tales and was making all other voices. Children could come as they wanted, sit down, and listen, and answer at the questions about the following of the tales, and hear afterwards at the real end. I improvised also about a little red cap girl whose story was in December, in the snow, the wolf appeared first behind the snow man she built in the wood, and so on... The choir of the adult pupils I teach in german on Saturdays sang with me some Christmas songs together. We had a good afternoon. This photo was made by my husband while I was reading a tale.

267. Christmas lights on the town-hall of Bachant.

In December the Christmas lights are burning overall in the country. There are not only the lights which are put by the township like street lights or lights on official buidings and churches, but since a few years private houses are showing also many light shows. Here is one on an official building, on my blog, the town-hall of Bachant, a place where I first stopped my car this year 2006 to make some Christmas-light photographs, so are my first Christmas stars of the year twinkling on this blog.
